We are looking for a contract full stack developer with demonstrated agency experience in implementing and managing technical projects, technical strategy work, leading small dev teams, doing QA, and more. Technical Background

A strong candidate will have worked on or architected projects using the following tools/languages:

  • PHP / HTML / JS / CSS
  • WordPress, Drupal and/or other CMS platforms
  • Frontend build tools
  • MySQL
  • Accessible constructs
  • Technical specifications
  • Deployment solutions

Nice-to-have experience

  • Web components
  • Custom Gutenberg blocks with ACF Pro
  • Storybook
  • SVG animations

Core Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming project requests and inquiries.
  • Research and estimate solutions, prepare budgets, and schedule implementations as needed.
  • Support client communications and help maintain strong relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with our design and strategy teams to align technical solutions with project and business goals.
  • Lead development efforts, ensuring high-quality standards across all stages.
  • Conduct thorough QA checks and manage technical aspects of projects.
  • Provide leadership and direction to our development team, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer.
  • Strategically manage agency PM tools, such as Harvest, Trello, Google Sheets and Docs, etc.

Experience

  • 6+ years of experience working within a design or development agency. Solid agency experience is required.
  • Website development experience showing high quality front-end and backend development work product in WordPress, Drupal and other CMS platforms.
  • Multidisciplinary production experience – must have successfully produced/managed web design and development projects from discovery through execution.
  • A command of leading PM tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in Quality Assurance best practices

Contract Hourly Rate

Hourly rates are dependent on experience and will range between $75 and $100/hour.
